Our History

Paragon Steakhouse Restaurants selected Centurion to become its exclusive nationwide developer to provide outstanding finishes and craftsmanship at cost levels that were both predictable and below budget estimates. According to Steve Wittert, CEO at Paragon… “Unquestionably, Centurion has provided a higher level of professionalism and expertise to the implementation of our growth strategy. Though our business relationship is one of “development”, we consider them our “partner” because they have articulately and passionately represented Paragon’s interests both fairly and honorably.”

Centurion has created a close and highly regarded partnership with Dollar General, Inc. by locating and acquiring sites that fit the specific demands of their prototypical design, while providing direct management to control costs and quality.  Through this prolific relationship Centurion was able to deliver over 100 Dollar General stores in a one year time period.

Northern Hydraulics, a national retail and mail order company that sells tools and equipment to contractors and do-it-yourselfers, selected Centurion to develop its new prototype retail facility in Charlotte, NC. Centurion surpassed the expectations of Northern Hydraulics’ executives, by creating a facility designed to be a successful retail outlet and serve as the model for future stores.  According to Charley Brady and Ritch Flogstad, two senior executives at Northern… “Centurion worked hard to provide this building for us within our budget. They remained in constant communication with us throughout the development process, from financing through the final walk-through.”

Centurion has shared in the growth of the largest theatre chain in the world, Regal Cinemas. The partnership dealt effectively with very complex site, permitting, design and construction issues. All of the projects were completed in record times and below the forecasted budgets.

Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc. was on the hunt to find the best developer to build and introduce a new retail tire store concept and Centurion was entrusted to bring flexibility and objectivity to the process.

Centurion was chosen to offer development and financing solutions to SpeeDee Oil Change after the company came to a halt from lack of a buildable sites and acceptable financing. With the help of Centurion, SpeeDee Oil Change was constructed on a previously useless lot and received build-to-suit financing that locked in low lease rates and significantly lowered rents.

Centurion is recognized by Hollywood Video as a Preferred Developer by providing exceptional service in site selections and was granted the privilege of developing numerous stores throughout the Southeast.
